Prof. Greg Lane

Professor Gregory Lane is an internationally recognised leader in nuclear structure physics, especially using the techniques of time-correlated gamma ray and electron spectroscopy for investigations of exotic nuclei.

He will lead the WIMP direct detection program within the Centre, and will participate in Accelerator Mass Spectroscopy/Inductively-Coupled-Plasma Mass Spectroscopy within the Metrology program, performing research and development towards the Centre’s WISP program, and is the Technical Co-ordinator for the SABRE South direct-detection experiment that will be located at SUPL.

Professor Lane will be actively involved in researcher mentoring, and student supervision, related to the Direct Detection program, and will bring considerable experience to the Centre’s outreach activities.
