A/Prof. Anton Wallner

Associate Professor Wallner has an outstanding international profile in accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS) and in a range of its applications. His main research focus is nuclear astrophysics, nuclear data, and the measurement of natural and anthropogenic isotopic signatures.

He will lead the Centre’s Metrology program, in collaboration with ANSTO (metrology based on nuclear techniques) and UWA (metrology with quantum devices). This will have application to the Centre’s Direct Detection goals, in both the WISP and WIMP regimes, where the development and measurement of low- and ultra-low-background materials is of vital importance.

Home institution: Australian National University.
